Earth Hour 2011

Earth Hour is an event sponsered by the World Wildlife Fund since 2007. The goal of this event is to take a stand against climate change by turning out the lights for an hour on a specified day. Last year's Earth Hour was the largest to date with 128 countries and territories joining the stand against climate change. Below I have posted a link to the Earth Hour official website. I urge you to take a look at the official video and read more about this event. Earth Hour 201l is on March 26 at 8:30pm. Will you turn off your lights?

First Post!

For my first post I would like draw attention to the blogroll I created on the left side of my blog. In particular, I want to bring attention to the World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) climate blog.  For those of you unfamiliar with WWF, it is an environmental organization that works to preserve environments and the animals inhabiting them all over the world.  Through their climate blog WWF introduces important environmental issues that need to be addressed, educating their audience. The first step in improving our world is understanding the problems. I encourage everyone to check out the WWF Climate Blog, as well as their organization website, to inform yourself on the environmental issues around the world. Thanks!
